New capabilities help enterprise retailers connect data environments to Tulip without custom middleware or inflexible, prebuilt integrations.

TORONTO — September 17, 2026 Tulip, the leading provider of human-centric  retail customer engagement solutions, today announced Tulip Integration Builder and an expanded Shopify Connector. Together, the new capabilities give retailers more flexible ways to connect all types of data elements including customer, inventory, order, customer service, corporate outreach and product data to Tulip.

Integration Builder addresses a persistent challenge for enterprise retailers: connecting data from complex, multi-source environments without restructuring existing systems or relying on external integration platform as a service (iPaaS) middleware. It connects directly to APIs, flat files, and cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, and BigQuery while adapting to each retailer’s existing taxonomy and schemas.

AI-Assisted Integration Built Around Retail Data

Effective clienteling depends on giving store associates timely access to accurate and comprehensive information. That data often sits across multiple systems, while traditional connectors can require extensive customization or impose rigid data structures.

Integration Builder provides a visual canvas and reusable components that are used to configure bi-directional integrations for each retailer’s technology environment. Targeted AI capabilities assist with schema discovery and field mapping, accelerating two of the most complex and time-consuming parts of the integration process. The technology also helps teams adapt connections as source-system schemas evolve, reducing maintenance demands and the risk of disruption.

“Retailers shouldn’t have to overhaul their data taxonomy or build custom middleware to give store associates accurate, actionable information,” said Ian Rawlins, Chief Executive Officer of Tulip. “Standard connectors are often too limited or rigid for complex enterprise environments, while bespoke engineering can take weeks or even months. Integration Builder offers a simpler path by working with the data structures and connection methods retailers already use, then applying visual configuration and AI-assisted tools to make integration faster and more manageable.”

Shopify Connectivity Designed for Global Retail

Tulip also announced expanded capabilities for its native Shopify Connector, reducing the time to stand up environments leveraging Shopify to hours from days or weeks. The enhanced Shopify Connector introduces support for multiple regions and Shopify Markets. Global brands can connect regional storefronts to a single Tulip environment while preserving localized product catalogs, pricing, and languages. This approach allows global retailers to support consistent clienteling experiences across markets without maintaining a separate integration for each storefront.

Integration Builder and the enhanced Shopify Connector give retailers two distinct paths based on their technology environments: a purpose-built product for Shopify and a configurable option for varied or more complex enterprise systems.

Supporting Tulip’s Global Growth

Following Tulip’s March 2026 merger with Salesfloor, the combined company supports approximately 100 enterprise retail clients and more than 100,000 sales associates across over 70 countries, influencing billions of dollars in retail sales annually.

Integration Builder and the expanded Shopify Connector create a more scalable foundation for Tulip and its customers. By making it easier to connect existing systems and deliver unified data across markets, the new capabilities will help more retail teams turn information into relevant, personalized customer engagement.
